The new terminal building at Kutaisi International Airport, designed by UNStudio, the internationally recognized Amsterdam-based architectural company, was implemented over two stages.

The second (west) wing of the building blends harmoniously with the existing structure using uninterrupted stained-glass windows and a unified green roof. While amphitheater-like terraces are arranged on the fifth façade, where passengers can relax in a space adorned with decorative plants. The amphitheater itself is arranged within the building, thus creating a seamless connection between the interior and exterior while equally defining the conceptual integrity of the whole design.

Construction of the terminal was assembled utilizing massive metal elements, which create high-vaulted, column-free spaces. The construction work, in particular the new terminal, reconstruction of the existing terminal, and a connection between the terminals, was all performed by Anagi.
